Carol Wylie
Carol has engaged in an active art practice for thirty years, exclusively working with portrait and figuration. She holds an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts, a BFA in studio art and BA in psychology from the University of Saskatchewan.
She resides in Saskatoon, SK and divides her time between personal practice and teaching art for the University of Saskatchewan Community Arts program and Hues Art Supply.
Commissions:
Carol prides herself on capturing the essence of the subject in her portrait work. A portrait is not complete until the person is inhabiting the canvas. Although the opportunity to meet the subject and take reference photos is preferred, paintings can be done from good quality photos. Commissions can cost between $500 CAD and $3000 CAD, depending on medium and size. Contact to inquire about commissioning a portrait.
